12 Easy Steps to Make Money on Twitter with Direct Messages

OK, this one is going to get me in a bit of heat, but the story needs to be told.

Yes, you can make money on twitter with DM’s and even more money with Auto DM’s.  An auto DM’s with a product for sale is certainly spam.  But…spammers make money, probably more than you and I.   And until twitter fixes this feature, you might as well exploit it.

The formula to making money with DM’s is not difficult.

1. Create a catchy twitter handle: acaiberrylover, ineedadate, twitttrafficguy
2. Set up a cool background and neat image as not to look like a spammer
3. Do a few witty tweets without links.  “Man, I need to lose some weight”, “Time to hit the gym”, “Diet weekend coming!”
4. Set up a Tweetlater account and set up auto DM’s to spam your offer, “Just lost 25 pounds from Oprah’s recommend Acai berry diet!”
5. Shorten your affiliate link with a URL shortning tool.  http://bit.ly
6. Embed your affiliate link into your Auto DM
7. Search for people in your niche or tweeting about your particular crappy offer.
8. Follow all their followers
9. Wait for 25% to follow you back.
10. Bingo, un-suspecting users are getting your awesome DM message and some actually click on it. 
11. Small $$ starts coming in.
12. Repeat steps 1-10 with a dating or ring tone offer.
