Make Money on Twitter with your Tweets!
Apr
OK here is a service that I anticipated coming, and I do believe it is the first of its kind?
This company service is on a CPC basis to tweet certain messages. You can sign up to earn money from you tweets, as well as offer out payments with your own tweet message.
Rates vary from a penny a click up to a whooping ($0.07/click). Most of the offers in there appear to be affiliate offers such as supplements and ring tones.
The service claims to be Publishing to 831,203 Twitter users, so I’m assuming they are just adding all the twitter followers from the people signed up. One downfall of service is that you have to sign up as a publisher OR an advertiser and if you want to sign up as both, you’ll need to use 2 separate email addresses as the accounts are not linked
I tested one myself with @protwit
Brand and customize your Twitter profile – 100% money back guarantee $59.00 http://tinyurl.com/dnz66y
It was supposed to click to through to a custom twitter background designer, but instead it links back to twtAd? Not happy about that, and I’m sure the advertiser isn’t.
edit* This was becuase the advertisers account ran out of credits
Here is some props for the real advertiser http://www.mytweetspace.com/ ~ cool looking service by the way!
With 3 cents a click and maybe getting a hundred clicks on your link, I hardly think it is worth losing a bunch of followers over $0.30… The only real way to make much money with this at the moment would be to have dozens of twitter accounts that you don’t mind spamming and potentially losing lots of followers. Unless a buck or two is big money to you, I would pass using this service at the moment.
But I do see some future potential in this service once the both the quality of advertisers and the cost per click increase and I’d really love to see other companies enter the CPC twitter space.
Check it out for yourself ~ RevTwt

Just came here it to laugh at the comment you made here:

LOL
The reason the ad went to twtAd is because the advertiser’s budget ran out.
hey stickycarrots, thanks for letting us know that. I updated the post
I don’t know if you checked recently, but some ads are going for upwards of .15c.
Also, I’d reccomend most people use both the affiliate side of RevTwt as well as posting ads on twitter.
As with anything, gaining affiliates is worth more (generally) then you doing it alone).
Also, I hope you don’t mind me keywording my name. The links are no-follow anyways, and I’m sure this would be counted as a ‘reasonable’ comment.
Cheers,
-Aidan.
